Every year in Chicacgo on the weekend before St. Patrick's Day they turn the Chicago River GREEN. This was the first time either of us had seen this, and it was a site for sure. They drive out in 2 motorized boats and one of them drops the dye in the water and both of the boats use their wake to churn up the water.
:greenguy:
We also went to the North Side Parade which was right after.
The North Side Parade is the more "family orientated" parade, and then the following Day the South Side Parade is the "kiss me I'm wasted" parade.

ahhh jake. well, that just means you've got to come up to chicago to visit. your family lives in lansing right? that's just 15 minutes from where we live.
i've been frequenting chicago for 17 years and lived here 6 years and this is the first time that i've ever witness the "greening" of the chicago river. very cool. i definetly recommend it if anyone is near chicago next st. pat's day. anthon and i had a blast!
