I hope i don't regret this but I have to share my excitement. For all intense purposes (pending positive references....who are my freinds!) It looks like this guy will be spending his summer working in Alaska! A few months back I sent out a resume to the resort town of Skagway, Alaska for a bartending position (that's my trade). I heard absolutley NOTHING. ....Until today. A message was left on my machine from the general manager of the resort. After about a 45 minute talk with the guy it looks like I might have the job after he checks my references. This may not be the two month back packing trip I took across Europe last year but this is good stuff. I don't have the money for another trip like that so the next best thing would be working while I spend time in a place I've always wanted to go. Plus...the money is GOOD! It looks like the adventurer in me lives on.....please, please. please don't let me be cursing myself.............Skagway, here i come! this is where i want to go:

That is awesome and don't worry for even one second. Its only a summer. If for some reason it turns out to not be awesome....you can endure anything for a summer. Its not a 5 year contract or anything.
I can't imagine it not being awesome. Its a new place...you will meet a ton of new people......a resort atmosphere...new people all the time......unbeleivable outdoor activities and scenery. That should be an unbeleivable experience and you won't regret it one way or another. What else would you do this summer...sit at home?
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
