This is going to be my first time in Europe and I'm debating over the Bus or Train as far as getting around goes. Both are going everywhere I want to go so it's just going to come down to my own choice.Does anyone have any stories about either? and which might be the better choice?

It's a helluva lot easier to sleep on the train. And it's faster, too. But I figure it's more expensive... I don't know for how long you plan on traveling, but since my trips are generally 2 weeks at the most, I just look for the best intersection of speed and what I can afford.

I agree. I just returned from Europe and we took the train. We only had 2 weeks and I wanted to be able to sleep and see everything. Look into a Eurail pass it will be worth it.

I usualy get a eurail pass for the countries Im going to be visiting. If I go to smaller towns with no train stations I then take a bus from the nearest big city.

I went for 3 months and still loved going by train. It's awesome, and I've heard kinda bad things about the busses, like busabout and things like that. Not real bad mind but just the "The bus was OKAY, but I really wish I'd taken the train" type things

You will find trains to be faster for sure,. Trains can be more comfortable, and have more leg room. You are limited on where you can get on and off a train, only at stations oviously, but a bus, if your passing through a nice town you wanna check out, you will most likely be able to get off.

With a month though, I think you will be able to do both, I say take a buses and trains, which ever is more easy at the time. you wanna head out
