Hey Guys,
I have a delimma. I have about 4 days of spring break that I can use to travel. I would like to go international. I got $550 (roughly) to spend on airfare. Any ideas? I am in Atlanta, GA, USA. The dates are March 10 - 13 2005. I have searched all over with little luck. Please help! This is my last spring break before I graduate and I want it to be cool. I have never traveled on spring breaK before (work) so I am hell bent on doing it this time. Ideas??

Well, if you ruled out Mehico and Canada, then you really have only 3 days of vacation.
Going anywhere else, internationally, will most likely take you a full day going to and fro...It's a tough call, but wherever you go, it'd probably be best just to stay put in that one place to get the full affect of being overseas. Too much jump'n around from city to city will probably not give you the fondest of spring break memories.
What about Amsterdam for that short period of time?

Ya, I agree with TP over seas I think Amsterdam wouldd be your best bet....
You might wanna take a look at Panama or one of the caribbean islands and explore what tourists don't get to see. 4 days would be resonalble for one of these locals.

BOOK YOUR HOSTEL NOW !!! I cant tell you how many people we've been having to turn away lately, and mid-month all of europe is travelling all over the place. Its nuts.

Tell you what...log on to Delta (since you're in Atlanta) and whoever else's website you wouldn't mind flying on, and request their e-mail update with special fares and sales. I get about five a day, myself. Then, as they come in, scan through the deals until one hits you.
I've been doing that for awhile now, trying to figure out where I'm going in April. I wish I'd scheduled my vacation for March -- there were some awesome deals for it. When is your Spring Break, by the way?
And as the others mentioned, don't forget Central America and the Caribbean. I get e-mails from TACA and LAN Peru (two Central/S. American carriers).
Good luck! And I wouldn't rule out Europe, if you see a good deal. I've spent 3 days in many countries...it's enough to get a good taste of it. Plus, the flights leave late at night, so you can actually go on your final day of school, and not wait for your first official day off...

Try studentuniverse for flights. I just checked for fun fun a date in march and after taxes it would cost 350 to fly from chicago to frankfurt germany. Also, travelzoo.com has some great deals right now for packages or just flights to just about anywhere. Might be able to find something really cool.

I went on a cheesy-but-fun Caribbean cruis in November.. couldn't quite get over all the old people.. but all the staffers were recommending us young dudes take a 3-4 day Spring Break cruise on Carnival. Exotic ports of call + the party party party you come to expect with spring break. I dunno, it's all a bit too packaged up for me, but for the price/duration/etc., it seems to be the right fit.
