Hello to everyone from Florida, thanks to whoever made this site, its been helpful so far. Anyways I will be heading over to Europe hopefully this coming June 2005 with a buddy of mines, we have 2 weeks to spare and have a good amount of money at hand. Of course we want to be smart about the whole ordeal when it comes to traveling (staying at hostels) but if one night we cant find one (or something comes up) then a hotel would be OK. We definitely want to spend at least 3 days in Ibiza and then wherever the world leads us. Where would you guys recommend to go after Ibiza? Ive always read about London, Prague, Paris, Rome, etc..

Also hows the nightlife, I hear its pretty good

I just returned from a 2 week trip on Feb 3rd. We went to Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Innsbruck Austria, Rome and Venice. All of it was Awesome except London ( very expensive) We stayed at Hostels everywhere except Berlin and we stayed w/ friends. I loved Dublin, Amsterdam, Rome and Venice the most. You have to see Rome. If you there on a Sunday it is free at The Vatican plus the subway system is easy to get around the overcom speaker repeats everything in English. I thought this was helpful. Decide what you want to see the most and then make your decision. It is also good to map out the train system if you buy Eurail passes which is what we did. We took a couple of night trains so we wouldn't lose daylight sightseeing hours. I have so much info on everything, so if you need anything broken down feel free to email me Chandy898@aol.com

As far as the nightlife goes IT WILL BLOW YOUR FREAKIN MIND........and your pocketbook, but regardless, I warn you though if your from a small town that has a couple of bars that people think are cool your gonna come back from europe and hate those bars so much your gonna wanna crap your pants.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I cant WAIT to do this trip. I really have to sit down with my buddy and map out everything we are going to do and more. I am 20 and he is 25, we recently graduated from college (6 months ago) and I havent taken a vacation in years, and he told me the same so we came up with the crazy idea of backpacking in Europe. We originally wanted to spend 2 weeks in Ibiza but that is WAY too long to chill in one spot.

We are both from Miami, Florida so we know how the European club scene is all about as every year all the resident DJ's from that side of the pond head over here for the Winter Music Conference in the early days of March. Im mostly going there to experience a nice culture clash, the scenery, the people, the food and the traveling. I am half spaniard so im very familiar with Spain (been there plenty of times) but not to Ibiza and I was born in the Caribbean (Dominican Republic). My buddy is Cuban American so we are definitely not small town people.

Anyways im loving this site, I havent gone through all the sections yet, but im hoping to when I get some time (at work at the moment). Thanks once again for the welcome guys and gals!

Damn...20 years old and graduated from college 6 months ago? No wonder you need a vacation!
