BLAH!
Yep, I can't stand Valentine's Day and have decided that it was invented by some greedy money making guys at Hallmark who were just trying to get laid!
Anyhow, ignore me and have fun folks!

oh this is great... i had to go to the grocery store this morning to get some valentine cookies for my son's class. there were all these desperate middle aged men running around grabbing flowers at 7am in the morning. it was like something out of a sitcom.
valentine's day never really bothered me either way. i don't really care. it just seems like to me that if you love someone you let them know all year round and they won't need grocery store flowers or a tennis bracelet on some silly day in february. just a thought.....

Thats it exactly! I think they should change the name to, "trying to get laid" day, or "I'm a smutz" day!

Yeah, but the sad thing is, is it has been sold to so many girls that it is a day that should for some reason be so much more special than any other day of the year. If you don't take her out to a really nice restaurant and get the nice flowers and\or chocolate or whatever then you somehow don't care because you didn't live up to the hoopla of Valentine's Day. Psssh... I spread my love evenly across 365 days, I don't pile it all into one shitty lump for one day. Birthday's or whatever fine. But what is the deal with this Valentine's Day crap. Actually Sweetest Day pisses me off more. phoey!

Seriously KCL I think you have a sign that describes just about anything.... haha.
But yes ill have to admit I like doing extra little things on valentines day for the gf. Nothing huge, but I like to make a special dinner and try not to add to the killing that hallmark makes on all of our stupidity. For whatever its worth happy vday everyone. -Kyle

I got it, Jason....
nice southern joke for ya...
A young southern man gets married. On his wedding night, he throws his new bride out of the house, sending her packing. His uncle spoke to him about it the next day. "Bubba, why did ya go an' throw yer new bride outta the house, on your wedding night, at that? She shure was a might purty thing!"
The young gentleman says "She was a virgin!"
The uncle says, nodding "I reckon yer right, then... If she ain't good enough for her family, she ain't good enough for our'n!"
(I told this in North Carolina, in the hills, and they didn't get the joke)

Well, Valentine's day is over now everyone, so you can continue on with your lives and stop showing affection for your loved one(s).
Yeah we gave up the whole celebration thing. EVERY damn year we tried to plan something special it fell through - horribly. So, we gave it all up and now we never show love for one another (hey, we got rid of our only day! )
