Ok, I just asked my travel agent - who is also a good family friend - to look into getting me a ticket from Montreal to Madrid in late May, then from Paris to Montreal in early September. I thought I would have at least a couple of weeks before having to commit to anything, but her immediate response was that Air France is having a sale that ends in less than 24 hours! The price is about CDN$900 including taxes, but the ticket is non-refundable.
She's been a travel agent for 20 years and tells me that there is no way that the price will get any lower. I don't know what to do. While I trust her I can't help but worry that as soon as I commit, something much better will come along.
In case, you're wondering, the departure flight stops over in Paris, then moves on to Madrid.
Thanks.

air france is celebrating their 50 year aniversary and it is all year! Tix a s low as 269.00 round trip from NY. Your price seems really high to me.

what's the Canadian dollar worth these days? The price looks about right to me too. Consider the season and what's happening over there right now.

$1 can = $.79 us so...
That equals $711 USD.
is that after taxes? It really isn't a phenomenal steal, but it's a pretty good price, especially considering different depature/landing cities.
Good luck with your choice..
Also, think about this: even if you found something lower, say $50, isn't it worth it to have the ticket and not have to worry about it?
