I miss posting here everyday, but my hostel charges 1 pound for every 15 min. There is a cheaper net cafe nearby, but you have to walk there and stuff and they have uncomfortable chairs. Its not jsut here, I find that I must be on the computer for at least an hour each day just to take care of urgent things. If I skip a day or two I find that I need to be online for 3 hours or more. Its insane and makes me wonder how people got anything accomplished without computers or the internet.

Then why don't you change hostels? I've heard there's one with a really cute Tpunk girl working the front desk.
But it's great to finally hear from you anyway!! Have you got a job yet?

Yeah, good to hear from ya
Where are you staying? In one of those dodgy markets on Queensway (Bayswater area) there's a *GIANT* super-cheap Internet cafe w/ all brand new Dell systems w/ flat screens, burners, etc. And kebab stands galore nearby. What a combo!

There must be something better somewhere!
What takes an hour each day?
Keep in touch, what are you doing? Do you have a job? Did you just go there on a whim? Are you still going to law school? If so, where? Can I ask any more questions? Ok, I'm done.

Jake my friend I can sympathise. Its only after you have to start paying by the hour do you realise how important the internet is. This frustrated me when I was looking for work.
I know of a good internet place that does 1pound per 75mins with nice flat screens in Bayswater, if you want directions. I think I would have stayed in at least 10 different hostels too so if you want any info PM me.

Im involved with a few moneymaking ventures that may stretch the traditional definition of 'job'. Im in the process of signing up for clinical testing which pays good. I was standby contestant on a gameshow for a few days that payed me 90 pounds and got me on TV. I am attempting to sell paintball tickets on commission, where I dont get paid unless I sell anything. Nothing sold yet, but ti does look promising. And this week I am temping at a arcade game/casino game expo, which is actually pretty damn cool. I am taking registration, but there are so many temps working there that there is tons of time to go out into the show and play everything. Still looking for that permanent type job - I was holding out for a cushy office job, but I might have to settle with something different. I am still going to law school in the fall, this is just a 6 month fuckaround period. Its been great so far, but I cant wait to make enough money to travel again this summer.

Is paintball a big moneymaker there? I met this guy and his family in the British Virgin Islands who was there on a THREE-MONTH holiday, basically the off-season for this paintball business in the UK... the guy was a little more than well off.

Way to push the envalope. You're a tribute to slackers everywhere.
