Thumbs down

So on Thursday evening the internet went down, and I was kind of bummed cause I couldn't chat with me lady and couldn't check email and couldn't get on Tpunk...by Friday afternoon I was starting to freak out a little and on the news they said that all of Belize had lost internet access...by Saturday I was down right pissed and a little down in the dumps......Long story short there is only one under water cable that brings access to Belize from Florida and it was gone for 4 F***ing days

I guess I am a little dependent...but it makes my traveling ass happy, so what can I say.

PS...so what did I miss? I feel like i missed something...

I'm having to use dial-up after 2 years of broadband - its horrible, but its weaning me off the internet (i only check tp every 20 minutes now )
hopefully by the time we go i can manage to not touch a computer for up to a week.

I'm such an addict I signed up for T-mobile's wifi hotspot service... *sigh* I haven't even used it yet, but I just wanted the security of knowing I can flip open my laptop at any location and get online.

Yea, I wish I had the hotspot thing for when I am in the States in December....would make life a hell of a lot easier...I am just glad to have the internet for now though!!! As long as they keep it up and running, no one will need to get hurt

Heh, no internet for 4 days eh? Dial-up eh? I get shared dialup at a cyber one or twice a week, and I have to come 20km to use it.

And I was addicted to the internet before there WAS a web.

Beat that!

Just as I was about to post here, my modem connection cut out on me. It certainly does not pay to live in the boondocks for internet functionaltiy. Although you seem to have me beat as well.

Its probably covered in your rent. I miss living in student housing with free access to that sweet sweet ethernet connection.
