Ok so who has heard of Kava?
its a herb derived from a root grown throughout the south pacific. It is used as a mild narcotic and supposedly a legal substance with similar effects to mary jane. However after purchasing some in liquid form from a farmers market I have yet to experience such beneficial effects.
So maybe its the stuff that i bought or maybe im taking doing a big enough dose. Ill od this next time and see....
anyone else experiment with this stuff?

I never knew it was supposed to be like Marijuana... I just knew it was supposed to have effects similar to caffeine. But perhaps if you take more of it. I know there was somewhat of an uproar about it a few years ago. I don't remember what the big deal was though. I just liked the name, its fun to say. KAVA KAVA.

Yah I had it lots in Fiji. All it did to me was make my tongue fuzzy and I had to go the the bathroom lots! Apparently it makes a lot of ppl sleepy.
The fijian guys all drink it every day and you will see them walking around with there eyes half closed ie. looking stoned. So to get that benefit you have to drink it for a long time and lots of it!

I loved Kava, it totally rocks. Had stacks of it when stayed @ Tavewa, which is at the end of the Yasawa Islands. I even bought some back to Aus along with a Muslin towel and made sure all my friends tried it. Its nothing like Mary Jane, I would say the sleepyness you get from it is more like coming down from powdered drugs, well 1/50th of it. I didnt really see many locals drinking it much when in Fiji it was more for ceremonys.
