Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone else felt this.

I was at this awesome place in July, yea I know, a really long time ago, haha, but yea it was the best time of my life!! I met the most amazing people ever! haha I like them way more then my friends back here in Boston! I just had soo much fun, I was only there for 2 weeks though, most people stayed there for a while. I really just miss everyone there and I was just looking at pictures from it and stuff. Everything was so perfect there, there were no problems and you got along with everyone perfectly!

I miss it soooooooooo much. SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! hahaha. It was the only time I've really traveled and I loved it!!! I've been thinking about it everyday and I just want it to all happen again. I'm starting to think about what I'm going to do next summer and I keep thinking "go back there jake, go!!" but then I'm also thinking "no...it won't be the same, it'll be dissapointing to you, none of the same people will be there it won't be like it was last summer."

so, i just don't know....

Yea man i can feel for ya for sure. I feel the same way about phoenix and I have tried going back to the places that I loved because of the people. Mostly it is never the same. I have had good experiences going back though. You just have to go with an open mind and remember that the people wont be the same.

Try working at a summer camp next summer jake you'll love it.

No don't work at summer camp. Worst job ever. Well, not really, but its nothing compared to travelling.

I was pretty depressed when I came back this summer, too.. People, places, crappy cigarettes, the thrill of the undiscovered... I didnt realize it was possible to be so down, everyone warns about culture shock but you never hear anything about re-acclimating.

Anyway, my cure to that was to start cruising for airline tickets and jump on the first cheap flight to Europe I could find. And stay for a while. London NYE 2004-2005!!! Woohoo!

I know you're pain dude!

I've been back from my backpacking trip for 5 months and I still really haven't adjusted back to everything.

Bellelass has the right idea to get rid of post-travel doldrums, plan your next trip!!!

I'm planning to go to Australia in 2005, its crazy, as soon a new trip comes up you feel alot better.

I think the readjustment time has alot to do with how much you liked your place in life before travel.

If you were sick of your job and your current circle of friends...its going to be hard.

Like U2fan says, everyone goes through it, you're not the only one bro!

chin up!
