Hey, my girlfriend and I stayed in the Ostello Villa Francescatti this summer. It was fantastic. You need to take a bus from the train station (sorry can't remember which one), and remember don't pay (nobody does! We payed for that first time and then noticed that nobody in Italy pays at all! We rode everything for free from then on -- buses, trams, subways...). It is a little bit of a walk from the bus stop, but there are signs. We were fortunate enough to have someone show us the way. If you get lost, ask a local, they'll surely know the way. Anyways, it is a great hostel and being the Ostello VILLA Francescatti, you get exactly that. It is a gorgeous Villa with huge windows that are always open and let in the fresh air and it has huge rooms. The staff is pretty nice and they got all the facilities. Breakfast is a little meager, but enough to get you buy. The dinner is good if you get back in time to sign up for it, but you get pasta and wine and salad. Tasty. The only annoying thing is the lockout, so if you are tired you can't just laze around in your room during the day. The grounds are stunning -- I have never seen another hostel that has gardeners on staff! This place is fantastic, and we liked it so much that we stayed 2 extra nights and just decided to make a daytrip to Venice, which is about an hour away by train, because we couldnt find anything decent in Venice. So stay here, you won't regret it!!
