It's been raining here for like 3 days straight, but I think I'll go out and drink...always a good plan! When I was a kid we always had a little shin-dig and played darts (my mom is British, in case you were wondering).
What is the "traditional" way to celebrate Guy Fawkes? I only know my moms way.

OmiDay hmm even has a nice ring to it ha ha
I usually go watch a big fire display (organised is better kids!) and i dress up in my hat, scarf, earmuffs and gloves and im there with my sparklers going ooohh aaahhh at the fireworks then i go get my chestnuts and soup and trundle back through the mud with my wellies on wondering how much of tax payers money just went up in smoke lol and then i have a few goes on the fair rides eating candy floss
Then its off to my local where they have a mini display and we have lots of beer!!!
and the i start counting cos its only 25 days to mine and omi's birthdays ha ha

Sounds like fun! I was actually in London for Guy Fawkes in 2000, but was busy with a conference and didn't get out much. Hopefully one day soon I'll get a chance to live over there for awhile, being them are my roots and all!
( Note to self: Wear fire retardent underware, and possibly a bulletproof vest when I am around omisan.)

I love it that my birthday is on a weirdo english holiday.
So if we had a day like Guy Fawkes, it would be kind of like "UniBomber Day" or something, right?

Yea...but I don't think I would want to get a Unibomber Day card in the mail, if you know what I mean.
