Hey there,
Newbie here, originally hailing from Seattle, now stationed in Iraq (Army National Guard), turned 26 two weeks ago. I have a fair amount of travel experience under my belt, mostly in Europe. I used to be a college boy, I spent a semester studying abroad in Rome, that's where I caught the travel bug, and I try to travel at least once a year. Sometime this spring, after I get out of this God forsken hell-hole of a country, I'll be taking my next trip. I haven't decided exactly where yet, still in the very early stages of making plans, which will probably solidify as the date grows closer.
My regards to everyone, and salam (peace)

Welcome Loan Dawg!! (my welcome will not be as cool as CD!!) So, in the NG? What's your mos? I was 14S (ADA - Avenger) Did not go to Iraq, but I was at Ft. Sill, OK and thats like the arm pit of America. I feel for ya being over there. What unit you attached to?
As for traveling Europe is the place to be! (Unless you are Joan, then it's Asia) But there are alot of bonuses in going to Europe, like the cheap ass flights everywhere ( www.easyjet.com and www.ryanair.com) just space-a your self to anywhere in Europe and you can use one of those air lines.
Keep that 6 in check Hooah!

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm the 81st Brigade (one of the National Guard's enhanced brigades). I'm a 31C (single channel radio operator) for the brigade S2. But our phone lines and internet are well established here, they have no use for my position, so they throw me on whatever shit detail they can find for me. I've been on gate guard, escort duty, running cables for the S6, and even preparing intelligence reports for my section, which was my favorite, because that's a field I want to get involved in in the future.
I got here six months ago, just as everything really began to get crazy here. You'll all be hearing more from me as time goes on.
