Oktoberfest @ end of Sept.

Well, me and my buddies have been talking about where we wanted to go and do while on leave from desolate Iraq...and we have decided on heading down to Garmisch from Frankfurt and then hitting Munich for a day or two of Oktoberfest before heading on down to Rome. We will spend the rest of our time in Rome. Me and another guy are also going to go to Pompeii one of the days that we are down in Rome. I just want a few hours to explore the ruins, and go to the same amphitheatre that Pink Floyd played at in their Live @ Pompeii concert.

One thing to remember is if you want to hit Oktober Fest make sure to get reservations at a restraunt as there is no drinking on the streets. I learned this the hard way so hit the internet and make some reservations if you still can. But hey Rome is great and if you get a chance make sure to take the treck up to the top of the dome of Saint Peters. It is one of the best views of Rome in my opinion.

Hey just a little more advice. If you are planing on going to Pompeii. Make sure to not make that a full day plan. It is a great place to see but will not take up your whole day. Just make sure you have other thinks on your list as well for that day.

Yeah, I only wanted to wake up one day while in Rome and cruise on over to Pompeii then chill for a few hours looking at the ruins before heading back to Rome.
