Hey i have a 7 hour layover tomorrow (monday labor day) in Nework Intl... So i figure why not go exploring and get some real pizza.. I know that's borderline blasphemy for a chicago kid to say about NY pizza but if any of you have ever tasted arizona pizza you would be desperate too.
So keeping in mind that im not at kennedy where should i go for pizza????
Oh and if any NewYorkers want to take me out and show me the town I would not object

well sorry jake....Im not from NY, but I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to find a good pizza place just about anywhere....I mean isnt that what NY is known for? ( although I did have some pretty crappy pizza while I was there...hehe) seriously though man, if you just find some real italian pasta/pizza place....depending on where you are (they seemed to be at least 1 every few blocks where I stayed) you should be able to get some decent if not incredible pizza. Just follow your nose

I live about fourty minutes from Newark and I've worked there for a while now. I'de offer to come get you on my lunch break but there isnt really anything local. Newark, the city, isnt really the type of place you want to hang out. the business district has delis but no real pizza places. Some Portuguese restaurants but nothing even remotely italian. You can hop a train to New York. Take about twenty minutes for 5 dollars from the airport. Just leave Penn station and go out a good five blocks then start looking. tons of places. Check out time square and such. If you plan it you'll have plenty of time. stay away from chain stores expensive and crappy.
