Hi everyone,
My partner and I travelling through Italy with 60 euro a day as our budget for 4 weeks. We have 10 day rail passes, so travel is taken care of (I hope).
Jan 05, should this be enough. Hoping to shave some per day for "splurges" and save for the more expensive UK portion of the trip.
Any advice?
Many thanks
Darren & Jenny

my bf and i were in europe last year and we certainly needed 150 euro per day, and to be honest - we weren't able to do EVERYTHING we wanted even on that budget... i do like nice dinners and wine and stuff though, oh and dessert too - and nice hotels, but still... i think you'd need at least 100 euro per day between the two of you. good luck ~ and have fun!

Thankyou, have painfully adjusted our savings budget to now make it 100 Euro a day.
A visit to the hostels page sort of convinced us we needed more than 14 euro's a day for eating and site seeing between the TWO of us.
Methinks 50 euro's plus per day = fun times
Regards

Depending where you go in Italy, you can certainly get by with 60 euro a day. I can't remember what hostel prices were when I was there, but food was pretty cheap, even in Rome and Florence. site seeing was also pretty cheap except for a couple of the big sites in Rome.

Hey I am not sure how old you are but if you are still under 30 make sure to get the a International Student ID. You do not need to be a student to get one just under 30. It will save you a bunch of money for tours and what not. It like AMEX don't leave home with out it.
