There's this Mexican food chain of restaurants in Delaware, called La Tolteca. Their chicken is the best! I eat it everytime I go there, which is a lot.

OK being an ex-football player food is something I know all to well. I have 2 places I consider to have thee best chicken on this planet. The first is a little place here in Chicago called Wing Hoe. There chicken is amazing!! Now my favorite but hard to find place is called The Dirt Road Dinner in TN. I do not know the name of the town off hand but will post it when I find it. This place has been in business for a little of 100 years. The history of the place alone makes it amazing but the food is all hand made by the family who began the whole thing. If you ever want a real treat track this place down you will love it.
FYI...getting there is not the safest thing if you do not have southern roots. These people bring the word HillBilly to a hole knew meaning. Luckly I have a ton of family in TN and my name goes far but with a yankee family name you may not get to far. Think banjo, moon shine, and bare feet then kick it up a notch that is how this town is.

Back in '97 in Costa Rica in some little village off the route between San Jose and Puerto Limon we had chicken purchased from this little tin shack. There is no way in hades I could find it again (i was 13) and all i can remember was that it was cooked over coffee wood... the most amazing chicken ever

Zankou Chicken. It's this modest Armenian chain around the Los Angeles area, and they have the best roast chicken I've had anywhere. Not so much because of the chicken itself, but the wicked creamy garlic sauce they give you. That stuff, if employed properly, could probably bring about world peace.
