Hi everyone,
I've just signed up to this website and after a quick glance looks like it will hopefully be quite helpful.
I'm planning to travel to Europe around July next year, but haven't really planned anything in concrete yet. I currently live in Melbourne, Australia and plan to travel for approximately 6 months.
Would really appreciate any special tips to get me started as I begin to plan my trip.
Hope to hear from you all soon,
Mickdina!

My first query doesn't relate to my trip, but how do u add a photo under your profile, so it pops up for every posting u submit/reply to?

Welcome!! I'm sure this website will be very helpful as when you put everyone together here i'm sure we've covered almost every square inch of Europe! If ya got questions just ask and no doubt we'll either have an answer or a very creative solution

I guess my first main question regarding my trip is how much is it gonna cost? I'm planning to see as much as i can in approximately 6 months?
I've heard it's good to get a rail pass which u can use unlimited for 3 months or so, to travel from country to country. Is this true? Are these passes your best option? How much to they cost?
Where are all you guys and gals from? And where have u all traveled to?
What are the must sees? And what are the places to steer clear of? And why?
Gee I can't wait!

Hey there, welcome to the boards! You will get every part of Europe covered from the people on here. I'm from the US and I've been all throughout western Europe, but ask me about Spain, Portugal and Ireland if you're interested as I've spent the most time in these places! If you're staying in only one or two countries a eurail pass is generally not the best way to go.
How exciting! I want to come along for 6 months!
Love,
Lauren

Thanks both simply_angelic and U2fan,
U2fan, I'm planning to see as many countries as possible, however don't really wanna set any dates, so once I've had enough of a certain country I just move on, whether that be after 1 day there or a week. So not sure if eurorail is best for this situation. How much does it cost?
simply_angelic, tell me a bit about yourself. I'm personally a 24 year old male living in Australia. How about yourself? Where abouts are you planning to travel to? Are you thinking of doing something similar to myself?
Hope to hear from you all soon!

Hey Aussie guy, uh I'm currently 16 (yeah, I know....Im a young'un) from toronto (ON/CAN). & yeah I'll basically be going to see as much of Western Europe + Turkey as I can possibly muster next summer lol. But if u wanna find out more about me & some more about some of the rest of the ppl @ TP I would recommend going to the "general discussion" forum then clicking on "who am I", a post where losts of other peeps have posted some more info about themselves. (I'm personally on the last page). hope to see u around aussie guy!

So far so good, with the TPunk site, or shall i say with the people who belong to it.
Spoke to a few of you guys already on msn, and you sound really cool and my type of guys and gals.
So where abouts does everyone live, how old is everyone, etc, etc. Tell me a bit about yourselves......
<--- for anyone who's birthday it happens to be. hehe just wanted to try out the smilies!!
