hehe. well that answers my question on how you are going to read the harry potter books :P
Its probably more hassle than its worth to try to plug your laptop in at an internet cafe (assuming they let you with potential viruses etc) - i doubt many (small ones) can actually have more plugged in (some i've seen have one computer hooked up to a modem), plus its a pain to configure the laptop to their setup (networking is bad enough if you speak the same language).
On the otherhand - wireless networks have taken off in some areas - such that you can walk into an internet cafe and your laptop automatically connects (if you have the right hardware). I heard even some MacDonalds were trialing it (in the USA).
Dont know how much thats taken off in eastern europe tho.
I'm planning on selling my laptop before i go - going to have painful computer withdrawals tho.
Not to put you off tho - i love how much entertainment i can get out of my laptop - its a tough decision for me not to take it for journalling, storing photos and reading books.

10 hours of internet a month ? *whimper*
i'm an internet addict - i'd be not far off 10 a day :P
we spent a week in tasmania and i only used a computer for 10 minutes to do some banking -
lack of computer use wasn't too bad, so i think i should manage 6 months in europe.
enjoy the books - let me know if you're after any others.
I'll probably buy them when the 7 book set comes out
