i'm a dumb-ass

hey guys. this is my first time doing this, so maybe you can help me out. i'm going to europe in about two weeks, and as of now, i have absolutely NO plans. all i know is that i am flying into paris and leaving about 2 1/2 weeks later. one of my best friends is going to be in europe at that time too, so we're planning on meeting up and traveling together. the thing is, i've never backpacked through europe before. i was in spain for about 5 weeks last summer, but i was earning credits for school. now i'm on my own and i don't know what to do!! can you give me some suggestions on fun countries to visit and places to stay?? also, what is the best way to get around?? eurorail?? how is ryanair?? p.s. i'm traveling on a tight budget, so if you can suggest some cheap ways to get around, that would be awesome! thanks for the help!!

Lots of time to travel about, more is better, but I am in the same boat when i go away...short but sweet...make the best of the time you have

Thats a good odea, you guys will enjoy the company...but try and get some "alone" time in while you away, you'll appreciate the personal time alot.

NO worries, there has to be a first time for all of us!! And man, i would love to have gone over seas for school credits...maybe i would not have spent 7 years in high school if that was the case

My suggestion would be to head south, enjoy Southern France, The fast paced life of the rich and famous in Monacco, The amazing culture of Italy, Heading North to the land of neutrality Switzerland, and from there back into France.
There is lots to see and do in all of these countries, you'll have a blast. But really no one can pick where you go but you, these are just some ideas...

what is the best way to get around??

Well, in this case I would say Eurail would be your best bet, Check through this site to find the best pass for you. You could also meet up with other trav'las and maybe hitch a ride in one of the cars, but be carefull doing that, make sure you traust anyone your going to be in a car with.
