he's saying that depending on your nationality, work rules may be different and not everyone here has been posting long enough to know where everyone is geographically... what the germans can do with a work visa maybe the americans can't - what the british, maybe not the canadians...

Thanks Joan, that's exactly what I meant... I had been reading the posts in these working abroad forums and I realized that I could help a lot more if I knew where people were from. Americans can kiss the idea of a work permit good bye but aussies and canadians have a good chance, that's why I wanted to know, so I can help.
