Default World, Hi :naughty:

HI EVERYONE!!!!

I'm Sammy from London and an ex-lurker at Tpunk. I wana start traveling by Feb. 1st Feb, actually, as that is my personal deadline! Planning a eurotrip at the moment, probably around western Europe to begin with and then see where I go from there? So far, it seems like I'm going solo but hoping to meet some cool new people with similar plans? Say hello if thats a yea?

I spent the summer in Pakistan and Kashmir which was fantastic and frightening in the best possible way! Although, I did have the good old parents with me so my upcoming travel plans are the Big 'uns!

And about me? I'm 19, fresh out of 6th form and on my gap year. I just started working at HMV and MJR Tom (anyone heard of it?) in an attempt to save up for my grand trip. So far, so good cos I haven't been paid yet.... so haven't had a chance to spend anything!

Hi Sammy.

Kashmir and Pakistan... wow. I am way to white in appearance to go poking around there... yet. Since you are already in Europe your travels should be much easier to plan. How long are you planning on being away? I wouldn't worry if you don't find a travel partner soon either. There are many members here who rave about solo travel. Also check and see on the boards if anybody else is looking for travel buddies.

Welcome to the boards, Sammy! Another EX-lurker! Yipppeeee!!!

Looks like you'll be off on your travels in under 100 days from now....right around the corner, baby. Better get saving for the grand trip!

I think the backpacking scene won't pick up until May or so, but there should be enough backpackers out there to meet in hostels and what not.

I saw some cheap-ass flights in the paper the other day to many cities throughout Europe...I was salivating like a fish.

Pakistan...not a place on my list anytime soon

Haha being Pakistani does help when it comes to actually traveling there! The country is a bit screwed up at the moment and probably not safe for westerners.. unless you're in to that sort of adventure! Hopefully it won't get worse than this though. Stupid politics!

Hmm well I'm going to need to get back to England for uni in September/October 2010 so I think I'll have enough time to go around for a bit. What do you think?

100 days aaah that's not so long! And ya I have 3 jobs to juggle now so I hope I can save up enough!

I don't know where to start in planning all of this though, everything's so up in the air!
