My one remaining requirement for school is the fine art requirement. I can either take Intro to Digital Photography/Digital Imaging or Screenwriting: How Movies Work.

Which would you take?

Screenwriting for sure! You can take digital imaging anywhere and at anytime. You can even buy books on it, oh and programmes. Also, I love movies, and plays etc...so, obviously I'd go for screenwriting.

Screenwriting - you can self-learn digital photography far more easily.

I gotta go with the photography thing...much more useful to the average person. I mean, what percent of people actually would use the knowledge learned in a screenwriting class? Point 00001 percent? Meanwhile, nearly everyone takes photos...

digiphoto - unless you actually think you'll be making a movie anytime soon...

if you don't already have a s.writing background... what's one class really gonna do for you?
you'd probably need four classes to become decent.

ha ha ha............you know what? I don't think we've helped very much. Ooh, what will it be? Digi-photo or screenwriting..... I hope you choose what you want to do most, instead of listening to us lot. Seems that we can't make our minds up as a whole either.
I think they are both pretty cool subjects though!

Hey, thanks for the input. Tough decision, I'm interested in both things, but came to the same conclusion as Beady and Voyd. Digital imaging/photography is more practical, but I'd like to gain a better understanding of film and I probably will never get around to it outside of school. Plus I'd like to be able to tell myself I have the ability to write a successful screenplay... if I wanted to.
