OK, so 2 kiwi girls going to do the Greek Islands from mid-June to mid-July. Conflicting advice on whether to book accommodation or not. Some people say, don't worry, the local hostel and pension owners come running every time a ferry comes into port, begging for you to stay at their location. But most other info stresses that you must book ahead. Any seasoned travellers who have been there know what's the go?
Thanks!

I have never been to the Greek Isles... but knowing how popular a lot of them are, especially during summer I would probably suggest booking ahead. Otherwise you might be left with a less then appealing place or no place at all.
