Dublin customs and cigarettes
Do you think I (mid 20's caucasian American man) With my stuffed pack will get my pack searched at customs in Dublin coming in from the US? I want to bring 2 cartons of smokes but you are only allowed one. If i get caught what is the penalty?

I know in Australia you just have to pay the duty on both packs.
I never got searched and I'm an early 20's Australian male.

just buy your cigs in the duty free shop stateside, they should be the same price right, minus taxes. just dont take it out of the plastic baggie they seal it up in till you've passed customs
just walk thru the green channel once you collect your bags, honestly ive never seen anyone stopped, unlike customs in the us where everyone gets questioned, even if only for a minute

I can buy tax free cartons of cigarettes at O'hare international in Chicago?
Ive never shopped at the DFS before. How does it work? Im assuming I should hide the smokes in my pack as opposed to carrying a duty free shopping bag through customs like an oblivious retard on vacation. although my bag is kinda small so I can only fit 2 cartons. Hopefully they will be easy to sell. Im guessing since they pay about 8 euro in Ire, I will sell them for 6 euro per pack. Sound fair? Plus I need the cash pretty bad. I hope marlboros are the gold standard. Im thinking one carton reds and one menthol just to be on the safe side. Oh has anyone taken the Jameson tour? I hear its pretty good but expensive. Fuck Im tired!

yeah ORD has duty free shopping, ive only bought a candy bar at duty free, but other people have their cigs or alcohol sealed up in bags, and the flight attendants tell people not to open them until they've reached their final destination
i guess you could hide them in your bag...its all a matter of preference i suppose...if you are flying aer lingus...these flights are filled with irish who treat our country like a damn shopping plaza, they brings bags upon bags of stuff home, so you might look out of place not carrying a shopping bag
