Default tour de franzia

hahaha so my friends and I were always big players of Edward 40 Hands, and now I've discovered a genius (aka terrible) game that may trump it...

Tour de Franzia!!!! You get 2 teams and 2 boxes of Franzia and have a race to see which team finishes first. You can only drink from the nozzle!

I'm trying to organize this for my friends and I and if I can't get it organized soon, my birthday is coming up in February and because it will be the first REAL brithday I've been able to celebrate since I was 20 (thanks Uncle Sam!) I want to get REAL crazy.

I want to do it in spandex and bicycle helmets too!!!! hahahahahah

I was actually talking about this today with a friend. I couldn't handle it.

How big of teams?

I was thinking 4-5 per team. 1 box of Franzia is 5 gallons right? I've had a gallon of wine before. Ended up pretty ugly but that's the point!

God with Franzia, I think I'd get the hangover before we'd even start LOL!!!! Wake up feeling like you have an ax in your forehead!!!!!

Wow. We used to have Box Races in college. You'd get a team of 6 (3 guys + 3 girls). Each box would contain a 12 pack of beer, a box of wine, a fifth of liquor, a pack of cigarettes, and a 25 piece puzzle. The first team to complete each item one. It was ridiculous amounts of fun.

hahah that Franzia game makes me sick just thinking of it!

Me and my friends in college would play a game called beer olympics. You didn't necessarily drink a ton of beer during the olympics, it was more of a precursor to heavier drinking later on in the night.

Usually you'd have a team of 3 or 4. You started off with a chug relay. Fill a cup with beer. First person in line chugs. When they finish, the next person starts chugging, etc. It's all timed and whichever team gets the fastest time gets a certain number of points, 2nd gets less points, etc. 2nd event was usually a quarters relay where you had to bounce the quarter into a shot glass and it followed a similar progression as the beer chug, but you had to go up and down the line so everyone shot twice. That event didn't involve much drinking. 3rd event was a tournament bracket of beer pong. Sometimes we'd add in a 4th event like paddling out to a dock in a canoe. Jumping up on the dock, chugging a beer, and then paddling back. The final event always involved some sort of combination of the earlier events. It was great fun and got the night off to a fun start.

We used to play Goon of fortune (A wine cask is known as a Goon Bag around these parts) where you pin up wine bags on the corners of a clothesline and spin it round, whoever it stops at has to drink.

^ Haha, good old Goon of Fortune!! I haven't thought about that one for a while.

Beer Golf was another popular one back in the uni days. You had to drink for every shot over par you were for a hole, or simply for every shot. We never got through too many holes though because we were all terrible at golf.

^ I've heard of bar golf before, where you assign drinks to a "par" at each bar. so let's say the first bar you have to drink a beer to be on par.. the next bar you have to drink a shot to be on par. I've never actually done it, but apparently you can substitute drinks and go under par if you drink more than you have to.

With pub golf, it is absolutely necessary to dress up in an argyle print jumper, braces (suspenders to you crazy Americans?) and a flat cap. Oh yes.

Also, I believe by "jumper" you mean "sweater" - learn English Lauren.

Braces are things that make your teeth straight, not hold your pants up!! hahaha. Now I kind of wanna play pub golf too. I may have to organize a golf outing this spring.

As for the Tour de Franzia, I've sparked so much interest that we're having one a week from today!!!! Instead of Livestrong it's "Liverstrong" LOL We're making invites and everything, it's going to be real fancy.
