Default This is a catchy title.

Well its not that catchy.

My name is Jay. I'm in my mid twenties, and I've realized that my life is pretty average. I keep saying stuff like- this year will be the year I'm going to travel. But, I just never get around to it. I guess saying that you're too busy isn't a good enough excuse. It seems like an excuse you give when you see an old friend at Target.

I like moments. I feel like the word moment has so much power and is filled with movement. I feel like everyone has an amazing story to tell. When I'm old what would my story be? I went to school, fell into a profession, and grew old. Kind of boring right?

I want to be an old person sitting on a bus bench telling about the time I was hiking though some exciting new terrain. I want to capture the moments write them down and let people know the experience that I found out there. I see so many people just fall into life. I can't fall when I know its possible to fly.

I'm here because I want to learn more about backpacking. I'm here because I want to meet people who feel the same way I do. Who can help me and lead me in the right direction to start. I'm here because this world is so beautiful, amazing, exciting, need I say more?

As you can tell I'm rather long winded. But, this is my hello. My introduction.

Welcome! Trust me, if you're looking for a place to find people who toss all excuses to not travel, then look no further if you have any questions just throw them out there and we'll do our best.

And I 100% buy tickets, (especially if they go on sale) and deal with details after.

Welcome, and good to hear you're ready to get out there and travel. It's always easy to let life get in the way, but when you finally purchase that ticket it all becomes real. Half of the cities I showed up in, I didn't know exactly what I wanted to see, but I grabbed a map in a hostel and asked around to see what was interesting. So like everyone else said, find out when you have time off from work or school, buy a ticket and then start worrying about the details. Good luck with everything.
