id give it a go on shorter flights, anything under 4 hours for sure! although, usually its not the flight thats expensive, its the taxes and crap they add on to it.

I saw this article a couple days ago and forgot about it. I'm not sure I would want to stand for a cross-country flight even if it saved me some money. But if ticket prices keep going up, I guess I could see the reasoning behind it. I hardly ever go to the bathroom on a plane, so I could give that up; however, I know the moment that I gave up my bathroom privileges, I'd need to use the bathroom desperately.

my biggest exspense with flying is the fact I like to take my bicycle and not wanting to ship it

Seems kind of academic, it would never be allowed for safety reasons.
I dont think Id want to stand for more than 3 hours.

not allowed for safety reasons? All the so called safety stuff on planes do is create an illusion anyway.
A few times when i worked for a major airline there would be completely empty flights and I "surfed" the aisle on take off with the flight attendants. I would totally stand during a flight.

shit in the military we do shit and have to stand FOREVER so if it saved me a chunk of change, I'd stand on a flight less than like 5 hours. If I could get something crazy like Cbus to London for under 100, I totally would. Bring a pop-out stool in your carry-on. Shit.

I know it´s all for show, but I don´t think they´d stop with the seatbelts and all that no matter what.
Honestly, people would fall down a lot on landing I think right when they put on the thrust reversers. Old people, stupid people, etc.
didn´t this topic come up once before? I remember reading some foreign airline was considering they harness things so that you´d be sort of hanging from the ceiling but yóu´d be basically vertical instead of taking up more space by sitting. That might be ok.

what if they had boards that you leaned against with seatbelts in them?? that way its safe for commercial flights, and you could get way more people o a row. no idea where theyd put hand luggage tho- i find it hard to stand on the plane as it is where the seats are hah

Sounds like the same restraints they use on theme park rides...

Yes I would stand. I'm a cheap ass. Plus I used to stand for 8 hours at work so its not a big deal. I don't get the point of limiting the bathroom. Does it really cost that much money for the airlines for someone to use it?
I think the fasten your seatbelt stuff is crap. I've experienced worse "turbulence" on Ukrainian trains.

Considering that I stand at work every day for 10 hours I am gonna say HELL NO!!! Work is one thing. i am busy so it takes my mind off of the standing, but being on a plane bored as hell...yeah not gonna happen. My ass likes to feel cushion beneth it on any mode of transport.
