Default As a rough guide..

Is £5,000($9-10k est.) okay for about 4-6 months travel?

My route is:
Thailand-Cambodia-Vietnam-Australia-(possibly)-NZ

I am getting a working holiday visa in Oz and have no problem with working if (when) money gets low.

Should this be okay? I'm a little bit worried but I'm guessing I'll be okay.

Let me know your stories!

Thanks :D

That should be plenty, although it obviously depends on how you like to travel. I'm planning on travelling for 18 months with a similar budget, although I know I am really pushing it.

If that amount doesn't include international travel, visas, insurances, vaccines and other formalities, it is sure enough. In the most restrictive scenario, you have $50 a day ($9000/180 days) which is very good. In S.E.A., you can live for as little as $15-20 a day, so you can save up for Australia and N.-Z. where life is more expensive.
