I like to both bring from the US and bring back from Country X items that differ from their respective forms. For example, Fanta in Europe tastes really different than it does stateside (much better) but Mountain Dew outside of the US tastes like crap.

The novelty of "Another Bloody Water" wears of if you had to spend 10 hours on Christmas Eve printing the bottles like a did one year.
In Budapest I found a beer called Adambrau, I was giddy as a schoolgirl when I saw it.

I think you're on the same page Laura, he prefers european Fanta but dislikes european Mountain Dew. (if I understood right)
This isn't exactly a souvenir, but has anyone ever tried soda sweetened with cane sugar instead of corn syrup? They make a batch of it just for passover, so keep an eye out in the supermarket that week.

Edit: I had a slightly snarky answer and then I saw the way I wrote that was really confusing. Long story short, we are on the same page. :D :fanta: ... btw what is Cplus?

My friend was just talking about trying to get her step-sister to ship a case of real fanta from Romania hahaha. Didn't know Mt. Dew was to be found outside the U.S. either. One girl in our study abroad trip in '05 paid her parents something like $50-$75 to get a 2 liter bottle of Mt. Dew shipped to London.
What I really miss is Rubena(black currant juice) and a Youngs Waggledance(beer), which are nonexistent in the States. They sell Rubena concentrate here, but it just isn't as good. If anyone has ever seen actual bottles of Rubena, fess up .
Though I do hear it's in Australia, which is good!

Andrew - Ribena is here in NZ, pretty sure its in OZ. Delicious stuff that, and you can get it with or without bubbles and concentrate and non concentrate
I don't think I want to try Fanta when i get to the states anymore

^I think in addition to being sweetened with sugar, they also use real orange juice (like 8% or something). EuroFanta is pretty amazing (Except in Italy where it tastes the same as here...I don't get it)

I never understood that either... When I was in Italy, I was shocked.
