Question Canadian traveling to Europe and confused with visa

Yeah so im most probably making another thread which is already out there but im a newb and cant find it anywhere.
so basically im going to europe later this year for a length of time that remains undetermined. I figure i might have to be taking jobs in bars and whatever will have me. and so My question is, do i need to get a travel visa, or just buy a flexible plane ticket since i cant enter on a one way ticket?

If you fly into the Schengen zone, Ireland, or UK, they will let you in without a return ticket, and you don't need to get a visa ahead of time. Your jobs will have to be cash in hand since they don't give out unskilled labor visas. The only exception I would say is UK or Ireland may have some kind of working holiday arrangement with Canada, but I have never looked into this since I'm American. Also try BUNAC.

yeah, I've heard it's pretty easy to get a working holiday visa for the UK. you can legally work for 12 months in the UK within a period of 24 months.

voila:

good luck =)

just moved this to 'travel formalities'

you can get working holiday visas for the UK if you want, or you could work cash in hand! also if you speak another language or just have a particular interest in another country, look into their working visas. My working holiday visa for UK was about $285 and took several weeks and lots of paperwork to get. my working holiday visa for Germany cost $5 and was available to be picked up the day after I put in the application. das ist gut!
