Hello!
Hi Everyone--just want to introduce myself and say hello! I am hoping to travel abroad sometime in the next 6 mo's or so. I've backpacked through Europe for a few weeks after graduating college but have been in the "real world" for the past 3 years or so. Needless to say, the travel bug is itching again. I'd really like to live and work abroad and am thinking about doing a program through the Language House in Prague--it's a TEFL course for a month and they help you find work afterwards. If anyone's had any experience with this, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks guys!

Dave's ESL Cafe ( http://www.eslcafe.com) is a good reference (I am hoping to do the same only in Japan)
Good luck!

Hey, welcome!! Can't really help, having not done anything like this myself. I was about to say you should post in the "study/work abroad" section, but noticed you've already done so!!

thanks all, for the warm welcome!
MBO-I have not been to Prague before, and have always wanted to go. I've heard some really good things about it. What do you think? I see you've been to Czech Republic? Also a huge factor was that this specific program through the Language House looks very reputable and is one of the best I've seen so far through my research. I figure at the very least i can spend a month in prague getting certified and then go teach in another country if i want to.

Yeah, i was there this past summer. A lot of people from the boards have spent time there, usually more than me (3 days) but it was great while I was there. Friendly people, good food, cheap beer (if you go to the right places). Good luck with your program.
