Default Got a job! and maybe two :-/

After turning in over 30 resumes, I finally got a job! I'm working at a little coffee shop/roastery. Roastery? I just made that up, but they roast and distribute their own coffee too. But yeah, should be loads of fun, its right in the middle of Chico's frat/sorority district, and within (long) walking distance of my place. Yeah! And I think I'm the only male employee, besides the owner

And I have an interview tomorrow with a cool burger place, yeah its burgers, but they have a really cool atmosphere in there. So if I can get that job to work around the coffee shop, I'll manage to stay busy until I start school in the spring. Booyaaahhh

And yeah, that makes me sound bad that it took over 30 resumes to get a job. I think they were all impressed, just nobody was hiring, wrong time of year I guess. And of course I didn't want just any job, want something fun where I can socialize and make some friends here.

So if any punks wanna stop by Chico, now you'll have a place to stay AND coffee.

That's great man... I'm sure I will make it to Cali sometime now since I live close enough. Hope it works out.

yeah this one seems awesome, it has that cozy atmosphere without all the bullsh*t corportate stuff like Starbucks. No uniforms, no drug testing, not much hierarchy, etc. And the location couldn't be any better for a single stud like myself.

Congrats, man. I'd love to work in a coffee place, I love the smell of it (but hate the taste, haha). Enjoy all those ladies!

Nice! I loveeeee coffeeshops (staple hangout/journaling place when I travel!) so I will definitely visit if I'm ever in the area...although I wouldn't want to take up your time when you could be chatting up the lovely ladies.

Just got back from another interview, now I have two jobs. This one's at a local burger place, also a super cool atmosphere, really close to campus and my apartment. No, I'm not flipping burgers, I'm the cool "floater" guy. Feels wierd to come out of the military and now be working at a coffee shop and burger joint, but hey, I wanted something stress-free and fun.

They're both part time. So it'll be Cafe Paulo in the morning, Burger Hut in the afternoons, and it closes at 9 so I still have my evenings to party/flip cars/jump off balconies, the usual Chico stuff. Yeah!

The Burger Hut will be cool, but I think I'll REALLY enjoy the coffee shop. I love that coffee atmostphere. And you'd better stop by freespiritz!

Well...as much as I would LOVE to head back west, the soonest I could possibly even dream of getting myself back to Cali would be end of next August, so I don't know if you'll still be barista-and-burger-ing then. But if not and if we do get to meet up some time, I'd be game to party/flip cars/jump off balconies with you...or really, just the first option.

Congrats! Sounds like an IDEAL situation. Don't be bummed about 30 resumes. God. I have sent out over 100 and still have not gotten something I'm interested in.
