Do you know if it's open to all nationalities ? I wonder, because the contest is sponsored by Hostelling International-USA, and I couldn't find the info on the site.

The official rules are here:
http://hiusa.org/contestrules/
I'm a little drunk so I can't be sure, but I don't see any restriction on the winner at all. Usually restrictions on who can win are due to things like having to buy something to enter, since this is a completely open contest I think its probably open to anyone in the world!

I would only assume, due to the fact that the US is one of the last movie openings, that this is open worldwide. Good luck all!!!

Sweet!! You got your pen out yet? I started my outline lastnight.
The only thing I don't get about this contest, is that they are givin a RTW, but only 20!!! nights in hostels. Who the fuck does a RTW in 3 weeks!!!!
But I'll still take it and pay for the rest.:D

I would seriously like to enter this competition, but I'm at a time in my life where I just couldn't possibly take a trip (not even a free one) without it impacting so much on what's going on.
You have to take the trip by November 2008, and I'll be over three quarters of the way through my nurse training by then. If only they'd let you commence the trip before May 2009, then I could go!!! (Not that I imagine I'd win, but you know, it's nice to dream).
