I found this website from radio ads they've been running a lot here:
http://www.testwiththebest.com/main.php
They pay several thousand dollars for people who are willing to do medical testing, most of the time you have to stay at their facility for 3-17 days. Makes it tough for me since I work a typical schedule but it might appeal to some people during breaks between terms or between trips!
They have locations around the US, and one in Leeds as well.

Ok, so I posted about these medical study places a few months ago, and today I heard another ad on the radio. This time for a bedrest study...sounded odd so I checked out their website:
http://bedreststudy.com/Bedrest.aspx
Sounds kind of hideous actually, NASA is looking for people who are willing to "spend 90 days lying in bed, (except for limited times for specific tests) with their body slightly tilted downward (head down, feet up). Every day, they will be awake for 16 hours and lights out (asleep) for 8 hours." Basically they're trying to find out what kinds of horrible maladies astronauts on extended missions in space will end up with
It doesn't say how much they pay, but I would imagine quite a bit. The first place I posted was paying about $3k for people to come in and just sleep there on the weekends for a few months. To spend 90 straight days lying in bed on your stomach...well I can't imagine they can get people for less than $15-20k, especially since they want healthy people that are similar to astronauts. I guess if you were willing to do it it would work out to a decent rate of pay for sitting around reading magazines and browsing tpunk though!
On the other hand they also will have some artificial gravity studies coming up, those could be kind of cool.

There's a lot of resources for clinical trials and drug studies. I've done one (which I had to stop because my BP soared on the meds). http://www.clinicaltrials.gov is the government listings. I find http://centerwatch.org is another site. http://craigslist.com also has some trials occasionally listed under 'etc.' job listings. I'm sure there's another thread somewhere on the boards with other sites. Those are just the ones I check often.
