Default A few questions about my trip to Europe

Do you think 2 months will be enough time to visit all of Western Europe (Netherland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switz, Hungary, etc) (also Czech Republic, Slovakia, Scandanavia, Greece, and maybe a few days in Tangier)?

Whats the easiest way to Greece from Budapest or Italy?

I would say to try and see what you can. Once you hit that 4 week mark, things tend to shift, and the trip and travel aspect kick in. Thats where it is nice to be flexible and not determined to plow through it. You may just find yourself wanting to hang somewhere longer than you expected. See what you can, but don't go so fast you can't slow down to enjoy.

As for Italy to Greece, there are many ferry's that connect out of Venice or Bari. Most are overnight, which is best, as you save money on a nights accomodation. Hey you could even hit Croatia on the ferry connection. See what I mean, a trip 2 months long has a lot of flexibility, do try to stay loose

That is true, but then you have to go back to Italy because there is no ferry service between Croatia and Greece...

If you have a Eurail pass, there are ferries that accept it going from Bari to Patra or Igoumentisa (sorry about the spelling, no time to look it up, I'm at work). Also, they didn't write a date in our pass, so don't write it in until they ask, it will save you a day.
The ferries leave in the late afternoon and you arrive in Greece in the morning.

From Budapest it is about a 6 hour train ride to Belgrade. I definitely recommend this city. I only stayed 2 nights and I wish I stayed longer. There are some interesting things to see, such as the half finished cathedral, and its reputed to have a great nightlife, but I didn't go out. I didn't stay long enough. The hostel, Star Hostel has friendly, helpful staff and is all around a quality hostel. From Belgrade its a overnight train ride to the Greek border and about 24 hours to Athens.

I also recommend thinking about Poland. Krakow is a great city to hang out in and has some good daytrips. Maybe see not so popular with everyone and their mom city. I hear really good things about Zakopane which is about 3 hours from Krakow if I remember correctly.

Ditto.

Maths work in your favor though : 3 days minimum per country (1 arrival, 1 visit, 1 departure) x 20 countries = 2 months ! But afterwards, you'll need 2 months to recover !
