Amadeus Hotel, Haarlem, Netherlands
Ok, so after years of travel, we actually landed in the best hotel room ever!!! I took the advice of another traveler, and booked room # 20. Everyone should have this room. It is on the 3rd floor with 10x10 windows overlooking Groht Square. The hotel was superb, the view sitting on the bed through the window was the same as sitting at one of the 100's of cafe tables in the square. We could here the musicians and cafe chatter through the window in our room, just as if we were sitting at a table in the square. Literally the best room view we have had yet. The hotel was very comfortable and I think we paid $45 a night for a double including a buffet breakfast. I cannot say enough about this hotel. The location is superb. Maybe a 10 minute direct walk from the train station and located in the middle of the Haarlem centre. Man I loved the view from this room. On Monday mornings, they set up a market starting around 6 a.m. and it runs the whole day, then magically disappears and the cafe tables reappear. You can def. hear some street noise, but the view from the room is the BEST.
Heres some pics.

Just a nice canal view in Haarlem

That first photo of the hotel looks like the main square in Brugge kind of.
Thanks for the reviews Marc!

Its funny Joe, our initial impression was that of Brugge as well. But with a Dutch twist. But we def. had the Brugge impression, but oh do we love the Dutch culture over the Belgians. We had such good times in Haarlem.
