Out of the Dark Ages
Ok, everyone can stop laughing at me now. I FINALLY have high speed internet. NO MORE DIAL-UP!
It's so nice to be able to look at everyone's photos without taking 1/2 hour to download. I think I'm gonna like this! :D

Thank you for reminding me that I'm still casting about in the Dark Ages.
What's worse, is that we had high speed in post-Soviet Lithuania, and now we're in technologically-advanced Germany and relying on a phone line. Dial-up is much worse when you know what you're missing.

We're still stuck in the dark ages too, we got a satellite connection at work that's next to useless and that cost' a fortune but that's about it. The national phone company have been promising me broadband for the past 4 years and every town around us has some form of broadband, it's dam annoying the Internets almost unusable on dial up.

Oh my. I'm remembering what it was like to go to my IE preferences and tick off "do not download images" to make things load faster...
Prehistoric man!!

Woohoo! It gets addictive though, so watch out!
Especially with the wireless. I've had wireless back home in Malaysia for years, and it was SO strange to get to my friend's place in Maine and have to use dialup. Almost like being bound and gagged.

Don't worry Jamie, it's definitely on my to-do list! Sitting in my basement and surfing the web is NOT a big treat.

I don't ever remember having dial up...
I remember being jealous of people because they had AOL and we had Comcast...
