Flying from Paris to Glasgow
Hello all,
I am trying to fly budget from Paris to Glasgow on July 21st. I looked at ryanair and easyjet. Ryanair is the only one to make that route for around $80. Heard bad things about ryanair. This the best way to go? Is there a list of budget airlines somewhere? I also have to get back to cologne on the 28th or 29th. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try www.airninja.com or it might be www.ninjaair.com but I think the first.
From Glasgow to Cologne (Koln on the German sites), I don't think you can fly direct via Ryanair. Maybe try Germanwings? Other options for getting to Koln are flying to Frankfurt Hahn - I believe there's a bus to Koln, or try Bonn, which is a short train trip to Koln.

I'm pretty sure there's a bus from Frankfurt Hahn to Koln, which is probably your best bet. We just flew via Hahn, and it's really in the middle of nowhere. You can also take a bus to Frankfurt proper, but it kind of defeats the purpose, as it's the opposite direction from Koln. Train from Frankfurt Hbf to Koln takes about 2 - 2,5 hours, just FYI.

We will be arriving late night so hope the busses are still running. If not, i can deal with a semi-sleepless night. We will catch something in the morning worse case.

I'm sorry, I thought I picked up the schedule when we were going through - I know I intended to. But I've just been through my bags again, and can't find it, so I guess I didn't. I think the buses usually cater to the Ryanair flights, so you may find something, otherwise, there are worse places to sleep. Turkish jails spring to mind.
Enjoy!
