Happy 420 tpunks
So another 420 is upon us, and in the yearly tradition, the earth will turn a little greener for 24 hours. Hope all you tpunks have a hazey day and toke it hard baby

Not exactly sure something to do with cannabis laws in the US.
That day is beginning to catch on here in Ireland, we had a meetup planned in Galway but it fell through and is moving to another date.
The mindset in Ireland is actually moving towards legalisation, we could end up stealing all Amsterdams drug tourists.

haha nothing to do with the cannibis laws (it's still illegal), but it IS widely renoun that on 4-20 (april 20th) you smoke up....cant remember exactly where it originated....

So I looked up where it came from on www.aj.com. Apparently it was the time of day that a group of high school kids in the 70's use to meet to smoke pot. It is defintely a phrase that stuck. Below is the link to the article:

Today will be grand...after doing some errands I have pledged to sit on my couch and smoke all day. And then around 8 we're having a 4/20 party...no alcohol no drama. Should be fun. And I just bought Umphrey's McGee tickets for the day after I quit my job...sweet. Such a good day - and it's freaking beautiful outside after all that Nor'easter shit

The origin was thought to be police code for cannabis possesion, etc, but as the links posted by other T-punks show, that was incorrect.
