1) Do you have to report this to the local police? Embassy?
2) Where do people keep the long list of telephone numbers in case of emergency?
3) If your card or passport is stolen, i read somewhere that you can get a replacement within 48 hours. But if you are abroad, where would they send this to you to pick up? ie emabsssy, police station, your hostel etc.
1) Contact the local police first as you'll probably need a police report to file your insurance claim.
2) I suggest e-mailing a list important telephone numbers to yourself so they can be found easily in case of an emergency.
3) Not sure, but if you have a photocopy of yur passport it will make rplacement much easier. Keep one in your money belt of scan it then e-mail to yourself.
