Foo is now officially an Ex-pat
A few people here know already but I may as well make it official. I am in Auckland, New Zealand at the moment and I have landed a job in Thailand. I am going to attempt to teach English and see how it goes. I found a program where I get my TEFL International TESOL Cert. for $500 USD in exchange for a 4 month teaching contract.
I will fly back to Thailand from Christchurch on March 26. TEFL Course starts on April 9. It is 4 weeks long. They pay for my hotel as well. I just pay for food and flight over. I have the option to extend my contract with the school I end up in or go wherever I want with my nice new certification.
I do not know which school I will be teaching at just yet only that I will make 30,000 baht per month when I start teaching and they school pays my rent on top. I pay for utils and everything else.
I am excited about this and am open to any tipes/ideas/suggestions from all you other English teachers out there.

I will be there for 5 months and I am a phone call away from another one. They need teachers so bad there I can walk into a job. I also have the option to renew my 4-month one as well if i want so either way I can stay.
