Hey-
So my husband and I are travelling europe for about two months and want to know the "FUN" things to do. We obviously are going to do the touristy things, and go clubbing a bit, but we want advice on places to go to to do some fun crazy things....like rivers to float down, bungy jumping places, etc. Just things that will help us remember the fun places that we visited. Do any of you have stories that you want to share with me and ideas of where to find some fun things to do? Thanks

This might be venturing into the "touristy" realm, but I've read that in both Ireland and France you can rent your own houseboat to cruise up the canals at your leisure. Not an extreme sport like bunge jumping, or wearing a "drink shirt" to a club, but something laid back and kinda cool, I'd think...

Depending on where you're going, you could look into taking a 1/2 or full day horseback ride. It's more common (and probably less expensive) in the UK, especially around the Lakes District and Wales-- Brecon Beacons National Park has several pony trekking stables. You don't need to have any riding experience. They will give you a short lesson when you start out and they won't go faster than you're comfortable with.
If you don't have any riding experience I wouldn't recommend the full day because you will find it difficult to walk for a few days afterwards. It won't matter how good of shape you're in.

WWM - i was going to suggest that !
When i was last in England (15 years ago) we hired a 'houseboat' (a barge basically) for a week and wandered around the english river / canal system.
It was the most memorable part of my trip - every time we stopped, i'd meet the locals etc (i was 12, and we played with the local kids - was lots of fun).
Some of the vivid memories i have of the trip are using the locks to raise or lower the barge, and the time we stoped the boat at stratford-on-avon to do the usual touristy things.

Thanks fopr the responses.....but i forgot to put that the only place that I will not be visiting on my trpi is the UK. I went there last summer. Bummer huh, your ideas all seem great!.. If you have any ideas for places like germany, italy, switzerland, austria, poland, spain, greece, amsterdam, and Czech republic then let me know. We will be traveeling between March and May so there are a lot of things that aren't offered during that time....so if you have any ideas even if you think that I wont like them let me know, I am desperate to look for fun memorable things to do! Thanks
