Happy St. Valentine's Day
Just want to wish the ladies a St. Valentine's Day. 
I have hated this day with a passion since about third grade. But since I made a vow to change into a new man last August I have decided I must love this day. Why not?

Happy V-Day everyone. It's kind of flying by in a blur of snow and sleet for me...but I will get some good Italian food and lots of chocolate tonight! :D

Yeah yeah, happy VD everyone.
As much as we all (that's meant in a general sense, not specifically us) bitch about Valentine's Day being a completely manufactured, commercial holiday, what about others like Mother's Day? Father's Day? Boss's Day? Secretaries' Day? Those are all made up by Hallmark too. I think the main underlying reason people really hate Valentine's Day-- and believe me, I can be one of them sometimes-- is because they're jaded about romantic relationships, not because of some sort of anti-corporate greed sentiment. You just don't hear people bitching about the other holidays as they do about this one.
But that's just my $0.02.

I had a great V-Day! My boyfriend got me a memory card for my camera for my upcoming trip. (Though he said he doesnt care about V.Day... he wanted to give it to me way before that). He nows how camera-crazy I can be! And like I mentioned above, I got us tickets for Bryan Adam's concert here on Feb 28th. And then we had a "romantic dinner" at Mc Donalds. LOL

There are many people jaded about this holiday. A couple of girls at my last Company used to always refer to it as Black Friday (or whatever the actual day of the week was). They used to crack me up. Whatever. I see no reason why we shouldn't have a holiday to celebrate people's relationships. I think its a much better reason than a lot of other useless holidays.
