^Absolutely. We put up a Festivus pole every year at work. There are always plenty of grievances to be aired....:D

I'm gonna have to wiki that...
Yay Yule!!
According to wikipedia, Yule this year was actually the 22nd, not the 21st. That made me very sad...

Festivus, see Seinfeld. You could maybe go to youtube and watch the episode. Totally worth the time!

It's a holiday created by arguably THE best sitcom of all time: seinfeld. I highly recommend tracking down some of their seasons on dvd if you can and watching them

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frank Costanza (played by Jerry Stiller, left) stands next to Cosmo Kramer (played by Michael Richards), and holds the aluminum pole his family has used in past Festivus celebrations, while talking to Jerry (played by Jerry Seinfeld) and watching his son George Costanza (played by Jason Alexander) race out of Monk's Café, at the very mention of the Festivus tradition "Feats of Strength."
Festivus is an annual holiday invented in 1966 [1] by Dan O’Keefe, and introduced to popular culture by O'Keefe's son, Daniel on December 18, 1997 in the Seinfeld episode " The Strike". [1] The holiday is celebrated each year on December 23, but many people celebrate it other times, often to avoid the holiday rush, [1] and it consists of untraditional practices such as wrestling the household head to the floor, there pinning him, or the "Airing of Grievances" in which each person tells each and everyone else all the ways they've disappointed him/her over the past year, and after a Festivus dinner, the "Feats of Strength" are performed.
An aluminum pole is generally used in lieu of a Christmas tree or other holiday decoration, shedding holiday materialism (according to O'Keefe it was the only tradition that was made up by the show’s writers, everything else was taken directly from his family celebrations). [2]
Many people, influenced or inspired by Seinfeld, now celebrate the holiday, in varying degrees of seriousness. Some do it religiously; others do it with good humor in their respect to the series.[ citation needed]

It sure is. Seinfeld has had more impact on people than any show I can think of. It is quite interesting when a show transcends simple entertainment and actually influences people's real lives to such a degree. There are very, very few shows that manage that.
BTW - for people that like Seinfeld type humor, taken to the nth degree, make sure you check out Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO (early seasons now on DVD). Larry David, one of Seinfeld's creators, plays himself and is sort of like a George Costanza type character. It is an acquired taste, but I love it.
