I just got home from work (started at 2:00pm).

My feet hurt.

I have to get to bed.

I have to leave the house for work, again, in less than 3 hours.

To set up and run our annual "Santa Brunch".

For 50 children between 0-10 years of age.

I wish I was kidding.

I'm alive and it wasn't too horrible. My boss strong-armed me (under dire protest) into the chair to get my picture taken with friggin' Santa.

I said "Goddammit, you're going to put this up on the board, aren't you!?" She grinned and said yes, but if it made me feel any better everyone else was getting the same treatment.

I now have two days-- IN A ROW, holy shit-- off. Thank fricking god.

I have a photo of my brother and I with Santa where we're both staring at the camera with blank looks on our faces. My mother said that when we were done, walking back to the car, she asked us if Santa was nice. My brother said "I didn't like that Santa at all. I think he was a fake Santa." I said "He smelled like booze." My brother was 4 and I was 6.

I'm not sure which is worse: That at the age of 6 I knew the word "booze" or that I could actually recognize the smell of booze on someone's breath.
