Well good news, I have a computer in my office now, so I may once again be active on this forum. I miss you guys!
Well, if you guys remember my story and such, here's a little update, with a twist. It looks like Uncle Sam is going to let me out of the Army as planned in May. And it looks like I'll be able to stay here in Germany when I get out, but only for 90 days. And I think if I want to stay longer than that, I might just not show up for my flight. Hmmm . . . .
But here's the twist. I was planning on travelling all through eastern Europe, for about five months, and then going back to the States to get serious about college. Well, I met this incredible girl in Luxemburg, and things are getting pretty serious. No, not too qucikly, and I'm not rushing anything. But this could ruin all my plans, because I could see see myself doing something really stupid, like wasting all the time I could spend travelling and educating myself with her in Luxemburg. I don't want to throw my plans down the drain for a girl, but . . . . damn, this is wierd, I'd never imagine myself changing my life around like that, but I could see this happening.
I dunno . . . just had to vent. I have six months left in the Army, but I really need to start making plans. Things can all change in six months, but I don't see this relationship going sour anytime soon. This could be that big pain-in-the-ass turning point in my life.
Sorry, just had to vent.
And FYI, she's German, so no, I'm not learning that silly Luxemburgish stuff.

If you can still pursue college and stay in Europe with her, go for it. However, if you can't, I am not sure it is a good idea to throw away plans for furthering your education for a girl, as callous as that may sound. Education is forever and will have a major impact on the rest of your life. Romance is fleeting, regardless of how powerful it is now. Whatever you do, just try to satisfy all aspects, versus throwing away one opportunity completely for the other. Good luck!!

Yeah see if you cant go to college in Europe. Your military service would probably help you get in to one over there.

I'm looking into colleges over here, but they don't seem to have the programs I want in English. Also, I need a school that accepts the Montgomery GI Bill, and most of them don't. The only one I know of is the University of Amerstdam, and uhhh . . . I couldn't study there.

But the rest of your classmates would be stoned the whole time. If you yourself could refrain, you would be golden!
