I accidently sent in a personal check instead of a money order/cashiers check. And just noticed on there site that they don't accept personal checks.
I paid extra sending them my application via Express and it just seems like a waste having them send it back to me, so I can just do it again. Has anyone made this mistake? And what happened? I'd contact them but there closed for the weekend, plus I'll be out of the country for a week starting sunday so I'm not so sure what to do. I want to get this all done quickly so I can buy my flight. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I've been through BUNAC but haven't had that problem.

Really like you said you can't talk to anyone on the weekend. I'd go out and get the money order this weekend, before you leave the country, and put it in the mail to go out on Monday. Then if possible, have someone call them Monday and explain the mistake and that the money order is in the mail. No worries; I'm sure it happens a lot! The worst that will happen is it will delay things a tiny bit. I don't see why they'd need to return the application to you.
