I joined a number of days ago and have been reading the boards. I have tried like hell to catch up with the local stuff going on. Anyhow, I really like what I see here and will probably remain an avid member for quite some time.

I do have a problem uploading an avatar (my picture). It is too big (kb) and cropping would ruin the picture . Any advice here ?

I figured you guys would like to know a little about me and I feel inclined to indulge you somewhat. I recently turned the big 30... hahaha... But much more importantly I graduated college with a BS!!! I also am planning to marry the woman of my dreams come May 12th... I think... no it really is May 12th! The two of us have been a serious couple for 6 years, so this marriage is not a huge suprise :P

I (Justin) have had the travel bug (whatever you call it) for toooo long. I can't resist anymore. I have no obligations right now, and after my fiancee graduates college neither will she. We want to travel and possibly find a place to live in Europe for a year. She (Jenni) will be taking the LSATs in the future and Law school eventually (that was for me).

But in the meantime I want to plan an awesome honeymoon through europe. I would like to focus on Dublin, Barcelona, Florence, Salzburg, (munich-berlin?) and Amsterdam. The plan is late May to early June for a month.... or a job offer.

Anyhow, thanks for getting to know me. Talk to ya on the boards!

Well allow me to be the first to welcome you to TPunk.

I have no doubt that somewhere here you'll find all the answers you're looking for.

Good Luck planning your trip and of course for your wedding.

Wowee! Lots of congratulations and welcomes and good lucks! Sounds like you've got a pantload to look forward to!

I only joined a week or two ago and I'm addicted, so I'm sure you'll find everything you could ever want here. Fair warning though, my biggest disappointment with this website is that now I want to travel to TEN MILLION MORE places than I ever thought I wanted to go! I swear, every day I read the boards and say, "hmm, yeah, I could quit my job and just go to Asia...well, just for two years anyways!"

WELCOME!

Welcome man and congrats on the BS.

I am sure your plans will change hundreds of times but I would say if your going on a honeymoon, hit up the beaches somewhere. Croatia is amazing or so I am told. Smaller towns in the big countries would make the trip unforgetable where if you go to all the touristy stops it will seem like a trip to NYC.

I went to Salzburg and the Ice Caves were amazing.

Prague was unforgetable

Switzerland was a trip of a life time

Good luck with it all.

Welcome to the boards. Congratulations on your degree and upcoming wddding! There are certainly plenty of resources on these boards, so as questions arise, feel free to ask.

Talking

Thanks for the many welcomes everyone. It is hard to be a traveler in the middle of west Texas (Lubbock). Everything seems to be about 6 hours or more away.

There are a few things nearby such as caprock canyons

And there is something to be said for undisturbed natural beauty

But like the cliche, we gotta get outta this place.

Welcome to the boards, and congrats on your upcoming wedding! :D

Have fun browsing and planning - the pre-departure stuff is half the thrill...almost. :P

And great pics!
